1D Barcodes (Linear)

The standard barcode format is a series of vertical bars and spaces read horizontally. UPC codes are the most common type used on retail products in the US. Code 128 and Code 39 are widely used in warehouses and industrial applications. 1D barcodes store numeric data and limited text, and are read by standard barcode scanners.

2D Barcodes (Matrix)

2D barcodes encode data both horizontally and vertically, storing dramatically more information than 1D codes. Up to 7,000+ characters versus 85 for a standard 1D barcode. QR codes are the most common type, capable of storing URLs, contact info, and documents. Data Matrix codes are used in electronics and healthcare for small-item labeling. Built-in error correction allows successful scanning even if up to 30% of the code is damaged.

Sequential Barcodes

Sequential barcode labels are printed in order. Each label carries the next number or code in a defined series. Common in inventory management, lot tracking, asset tagging, and any application where items need to be counted, tracked in sequence, or individually identified across a run.

Non-Sequential Barcodes

Non-sequential barcode labels carry unique, non-ordered codes. Each corresponding to a specific product, SKU, or data record. Ideal for brands with large product varieties where each item has a distinct identifier that doesn't follow a numeric sequence. We handle complex data sets no matter how large or varied.
