Tamper Evident

Tamper Evident

The purpose of tamper evident labels is to offer unmistakable proof of tampering with a product or packaging. If the label is designed to be tamper evident, it tears easily. Once the label is torn or removed, the damage is obvious. This helps users identify containers that have been opened. Tamper-evident labels come in various materials, designs, shapes, sizes, and colors, making them suitable for almost any application, from retail packaging to medical supplies.  Here are some of the options that we offer customers:

Security Seals

The least expensive and most common “tamper evident” labels are security seals.  Not all security seals can be considered “tamper evident”.  If the correct adhesive and/or perforations are incorporated into the security seal label, it can be considered “tamper evident”. Most security seals or “wafers” utilize clear labels.

Security Slits/Cuts

Another cost-effective method of tamper evident labeling is the use of security slits.  When the customer tears the label, it breaks apart along the security cuts to show that the package has been opened.

Destructible Labels

We also supply a material that will shred if someone tries to remove it, leaving obvious evidence of tampering and rendering the labels un-useable.  This essentially leaves residue on the packaging

Tamper Evidant Void

Most customers that want residue from the label prefer to use Tamper Evident Void Labels. This type of label will leave a “Void” message on the package once the label has been removed or lifted. We also offer labels that will leave various patterns or other wording.
